1948 Tucker 48 Sedan
Preston Tucker produced the 1948 Tucker 48 Sedan out of Chicago, Illinois and made only 51 cars before folding on March 3, 1949. Chicago Vintage Motor Carriage pulled this one from the Richard Driehaus Collection and parked it on the IOLA Old Car Show grounds for the 2014 show. It bears a #1008 chassis number and was originally beige, but now wears a maroon coat. This isn’t the first time one of these rare cars made it to the IOLA show. The other one, a 1948 Tucker #1048 (Green) has attended in the past and is located in Southern Wisconsin. Click any of the images below for a closer look.
