Here are some of the top cars that our newsletter readers and Facebook fans were interested in.
A 1941 Lincon Continental Convertible will be Lot # 722 and is sure to draw a lot of attention at the Barrett-Jackson at Hot August Nights. They say it is powered by its original 292 V12 engine. It was restored to the condition you see here. This one comes loaded with options for the era. It is one of only 400 Lincoln cabriolets produced in ’41. Click on the thumbnail image below to get a full view of the rear of the car. It sold for $55,000.
Supremely rare, this 1969 Ford Talladega sold for $48,950 at the Barrett-Jackson at 2014 Hot August Nights. It is Lot # 636. This is one of 750 Talladegas produced by Ford at their Atlanta assembly plant. The color is called Presidential blue. They were homologated for racing. In fact, Richard Petty was lured away from Plymouth to run NASCAR in a Ford Talladega that year. Then Plymouth had to produce the Superbird to get him back.
A very desirable 1961 Corvette Fuelie in the rare color Sateen Silver with white coves sold for $75,900. It was Lot # 701 for the Barrett-Jackson at 2014 Hot August Nights. It is powered by a 315 horsepower Fuel Injected engine matched up at a 4-speed manual transmission. Note the correct engine shielding.
