Raleigh Spring Classic Auction Saturday
What a sale! Some of the rarest cars we’ve seen all year. We put a wrap on the Raleigh Spring Classic Auction on Saturday. The Cars-On-Line.com car show team was onsite this weekend to bring you your first look at a cherished collector car sale. We are in Raleigh, North Carolina to report all the action as the cars cross the auction block here at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds, June 22-23, 2018. Cars-On-Line.com is on hand along with half of the classic car dealers throughout the Southeastern United States in the Jim Graham Building. This auction is getting a reputation for offering low miles classic and collectible cars, while the prices here remain affordable.
We definitely got the sense that a lot of buyers were keeping their powder dry for the prime time Saturday auction. Here are some of the top cars we will be watching on Saturday here at the Raleigh Spring Classic Auction. You can click on each photo to get more information and a history for each individual car, including estimated values.
We had a chance to preview some of the cars here at the Raleigh Spring Classic Auction this morning. Take this opportunity to watch a short video to get a look at the cars which are now queuing up to the auction stage.
A first impression is that there are a lot of classic woody station wagons here, and it seems that almost 20 percent of the vehicles are Cadillacs, many with low miles and in great shape. Click the link here to scan the auction inventory online.
For some years now, Chris Lieth has sponsored this unique classic car auction drawing some really nice low-mile collector cars. It is the one all the classic car dealers attend. If you can’t be there in person you can register now to place your phone bids.
Cars-On-Line photojournalist Bob Boberg of eClassicAutos.com will be on hand at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday to show you all around this auction through his camera lense. Quite a crowd was on hand to see the cars to be offered here at Chris Lieth’s unique collector car auction in the Jim Graham Building at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. Cars-On-Line.com was on hand along with half of the classic car dealers throughout the Southeastern United States. The auction is getting a reputation for offering some of the top cars on the Eastern seaboard.
Here’s what we saw coming across the auction stage on Friday:
The Raleigh Classic has always been one of my favorite sales to attend, both as a buyer & consignor. Mike Leath is a gracious host backed up by a dedicated staff. The quality of cars has always been outstanding & prices achieved I feel have been fair for both buyer & consignor. The venue is comfortable & climate controlled for both the cars & attendees. It is a well organized event from start to finish.
I work with Raleigh Classic and love it. Both the staff and the bidders are like family. If anyone who’s never been is reading this, you should definitely attend and see for yourself. Our Winter Auction is Dec 7-8, 2018 in Raleigh, NC at the Fairgrounds.
I attended Mike’s auction after 9/11 were he auctioned off cars from his own collection to benefit the family’s of the victims. Role your sleeve’s up kind of guy literally to get one car started up. Honest man and great guy.
Thanks Mike And why did I not buy the green Chevelle with bench seat???
