2020 Amelia Island Concours
With champaign bottles popping and confetti flying, the Best of Show awards were announced here at the 2020 Amelia Island Concours this afternoon. A 1929 Duesenberg J-218 Town Limousine, owned by the Lehrman Collection of Palm Beach, Florida has won the Best of Show Concours D’Elegance; and a 1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder, owned by Rob Kauffman, of Charlotte, North Carolina, won Best of Show Concours de Sport. They are the top awards given here at the Amelia. They are considered among the top classic car awards in the collector world.
As the awards ceremony was underway, some of the finest classic motorcars in existence were crossing the showfield here at the Golf Club of Amelia Island. This is the 2020 Amelia Island Concours D’Elegance. In its silver anniversary 25th year, it is one of the world class events in automotive history.
