GAA Classic Cars Drops Jaw-Dropping Lineup for July Auction:
Ultra-Rare Boss 429s, Jimmy Buffett’s Personal
Nash, and a SpaceX Rocket Replica Under One Roof
GREENSBORO, N.C. — GAA Classic Cars is gearing up for a marquee summer event, transforming its eight-acre indoor facility into
a showcase of automotive excellence from July 23-25. The three-day auction isn’t just about moving metal; it’s a curated selection
of multi-million-dollar supercars, muscle-bound classics, and pop-culture icons.
Unlike traveling auction shows that pitch temporary tents, GAACC hosts their events in a permanent, dedicated, climate-
controlled facility known as “The Palace.” The venue allows collectors to park their valuable inventory weeks in advance, blending
Southern hospitality with a slick, user-friendly digital bidding platform. The company’s recurring events regularly pull in global
buyers, turning over 750 vehicles and upwards of $20 million per show.
Headlining the July lineup is a heavy-hitting duo: two legendary 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 S-Code racing icons, each
carrying a valuation north of $500,000. Born to dominate NASCAR, these street-legal beasts feature a “semi-hemi” V8 engine so
massive they required Kar Kraft to hand-modify the engine bays. Bidders will have to choose between a pristine Wimbledon White
or a smooth Black Jade.
“Our inventory is growing dynamically every day, and this lineup is frankly spectacular,” said Kristen Harlow, marketing
manager for GAA Classic Cars. “Whether you want a museum-grade supercar with delivery miles, a piece of music history, or a wild
custom build that will stop traffic anywhere on Earth, this auction delivers the absolute wow factor.”
The docket features an eclectic mix of automotive virtuosos:
• The 18-Mile Supercar: A 2006 Ford GT with just 18 original miles on the odometer.
• Jimmy Buffett’s Subcompact Convertible: A 1958 Nash Metropolitan formerly owned by the “Margaritaville” icon,
expected to catch a wave, the value will be determined by the Parrot Head Nation.
• SpaceX Rocket Replica & Truck: A custom-fabricated rocket replica mounted on a 1985 International Harvester truck,
selling with “No Reserve”—meaning the highest bidder takes the ride.
• The Holy Grail Corvette Run: A lineup of more than 50 Corvettes, highlighted by a consecutively manufactured sequence
spanning 1958 to 1967.
• 1966 Ford GT40 MKII Kit Car: A fierce tribute to the Le Mans-winning endurance racer.
• 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6: A heavyweight of the classic muscle era.
• High-Impact Mopar Muscle: A colorful ensemble featuring a 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A, 1970 Plymouth Barracuda,
1970 Dodge Charger R/T, and a 1971 Dodge Charger R/T.
Gates open daily at 8 a.m. EDT. Memorabilia hits the block at 9 a.m., followed by vehicles at 9:30 a.m. Bidding is available in
person, by phone, and online. The entire auction is streamed live on YouTube.
Located at 301 Norwalk Street in Greensboro, NC, the GAA Classic Car Auction consigns vehicles
from all over the country with an assortment ranging from pre-war to present day unique vehicles. The
auction is held at The Automobile Palace. The facility is owned by GAA Classic Cars and has 5.5 acres
of enclosed, climate-controlled auction space.
