2015 Hot Rod Power Tour: Brotherhood of the Road …
The seventh and final day of the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour finds the world’s largest cruise making its way to Gonzalez, Louisiana just outside of Baton Rouge. The final party/car show will be held at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. Tomorrow the participants of the Power Tour will receive their Long Hauler awards here.
This is how Kaleb from Ridetech, the makers of Air Ride Technologies, summed up their week. “The journey has been awesome even with the typical twists and turns that come with hot rodding your car a couple thousand miles across the country,” he wrote in his blog today. “I think it is very worth it. I love seeing the variety of both cars and people.” Click here to read his blog and see the photo gallery of his trip.
Arrival in Gulfport …

Gulfport, Mississippi has never been a destination along the Hot Rod Power Tour in the past, but that all changed today as the Gulf Coast’s friendliest city welcomed the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour to its venue. The show was held at the Centennial Plaza with the Gulf Coast in the background. Below you’ll see links to photos taken by various sources in the Gulfport community.
We thought you might like to see some photos taken by Donny M. Carter from his Flicker page when the Tour arrived in Gulfport. Be sure to let him know what you think with your “Like” on his WorkshopAddict.com blog post.

DAY 5: Memphis to Hoover

Nice day again on the road from Memphis, Tennessee to Hoover, Alabama. The fifth day of the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour began with a full slate of cars still on the Tour. They say about 5,800 tour participants had registered and, unofficially, it seems not many have dropped out.
The Mustang and Fords.com website did a nice report on the day. Click here to review their observations titled Mustang 360. The tour met in the parking lot of the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium for a car show and party to end the day.

Tuesday At Memphis International Raceway …
The excitement never stopped between Monday’s high revving action at the Gateway Motorsports Park and the ride to Memhpis on Tuesday where the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour would meet at the Memphis Internationa Raceway. All you needed to get on the track was seat belts and helmets. Some fun in the Memphis sun.
When the tour participants got to the Raceway they found out they could participate in the Guiness World Book of Records recorded attempt at the world’s biggest multicar burnout. They did a 114-car burnout with the cars lined up facing the stands. But you couldn’t actually see much because the rubber fog was so thick it engulfed the stands. Here is a link to a video of the world record burnout shot by RideTechTV. It was announced over the track PA that they had set the record. It was the perfect way to culminate the perfect third leg of the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour.
Monday At Gateway Motorsports Park …

Monday the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour made the run to the Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois just outside of St. Louis. At Gateway Motorsports Park, some of the tour participants got a chance to let their cars perform on the dragstrip. THE BLOCK, a Chevrolet Performance forum, got a chance to ride shotgun as some of the Lingenfelter Corvettes showed off their stuff. The blue C7 Z06 you see pictured here (photo by THE BLOCK) has the 800 hp Lingenfelter package.
Along the way, some of the hot rodders stopped at Cars On Line’s Dealer Network partner Country Classics in Staunton, Illinois. Click to view Hot Rod’s reactions to Country Classic’s huge selection of classic cars.
Sunday on the Power Tour …
Beautiful ride from Wisconsin to Illinois on Monday. Just in time to miss the rain. Great to be back on the road for the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour. About 12 noon many Power Tour participants were already gathered at the Parkhill Technology Center at Parkland College for the Power Tour car show in Champlain, Illinois. The word is that there are 5,800 cars on the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour. This is big!
Here are some of the cars that made the ride today:

Saturday starting in Madison, WI
There were at least 8,000 cars parked on the Alliant Center grounds as the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour got underway here this morning in Madison, Wisconsin. Of course not all the cars that showed up here at the big first day party will participate on the tour. A lot of fervent hot rodders from Wisconsin and Illinois came over for the day to spend time seeing all the hoopla that the Power Tour brings with it. Nevertheless, the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour is expected to set all records again this year.
You’ll see some of the crazy customs here at the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour:
Recently the Power Tour has seemed to get bigger and better each year. In 2014, there were over 5,000 Power Tour participants who got their Long Hauler awards when the tour finished up at Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. As the Baby Boomer generation ages, every last one of them seems to have the Hot Rod Power Tour on their “bucket list.” You never know if this might be your last chance. So live it up while you can. This year the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour will start in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 6, 2015 and finish near Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Friday, June 12, 2015. That is a solid week of being with your favorite car on the road.
Again this year, Cars On Line.com will covering the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour. We’ll bring you all the cars and interview some of the owners along the route. Stay tuned to this page to follow our adventures. We’ll also post daily reviews on Facebook and Twitter. So be sure to look for our posts through your favorite social media. There is a special feeling you get when you accept that Long Hauler award with other participants that made the trip with you. As you looked around at your fellow Long Haulers today it became apparent that this was more than a tour. It was a Brotherhood of the Road. For every Long Hauler this was a moment of fame.
