Oldsmobile Club of America 2015 Nationals in Brookfield, Wisconsin
Oldsmobile Club of America 2015 Nationals …
Oldsmobile Club members packed up to return home today as the historic Oldsmobile Club of America 2015 Nationals came to an end for another year. The 38th Annual OCA national meet was held here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, July 21-26, 2015.
As a wrapup to the show, we thought you might want to see some of the very special cars we spotted this year. You won’t believe some of these:
Even as the participants were leaving the judges’ data was being analyzed to see which cars would achieve Senior Award status, the highest honor for OCA members. Here are some of the cars in the Senior Award judging this year:
Chief Judge Mike Pruitt told us the actual Senior Awards would be sent to their recipients in about a week. We’ll have that information for you here when it is announced. He told us that OCA Senior Awards are not announced at the show but only after the OCA Nationals have been completed.
They estimated that there might be 500 registered cars at the Oldsmobile Club of America 2015 Nationals this weekend in Milwaukee. Boy, were they off on that prediction. There were way more. Perfect weather and enthusiastic OCA members combined for an interesting weekend as a record number of Oldsmobiles convened here from all over the country. Local Midwestern Oldsmobile owners joined in the action on Saturday.
What would a classic Oldsmobile show be without those beautiful chromed out station wagons?
Vintage and classic ’50s Oldsmobiles (such as classic Olds 88 and 98 convertibles, Holidays, Starfires, J-2’s and Fiesta Wagons) were on hand to the delight of spectators. Here are some of the Oldsmobile classics which will be judged in the Junior Award category.
There are also acres of Oldsmobile muscle cars (Hurst Oldsmobiles, W30’s, W-31’s and SX’s.)
One of the things showgoers will be anticipating is the Oldsmobile Swap Meet which has always been a big part of this show. Those Oldsmobile parts are not getting any easier to find. This is where swappers get good parts and good info on installation techniques.
