One thing we noticed right away is that there are a lot of woody wagons here at the Winter 2017 Raleigh Classic. Our photo-journalist, Bob Boberg of eClassicAutos.com is covering the event. He said, “The sell through rate was good with the top sales today, a black 1960 Thunderbird Convertible which sold for $58,500 followed closely by a white ’61 Corvette at $58,000 (both Hammer prices). As always there were a nice selection of low mileage cars and some rare models. Tomorrow is when most of muscle cars and the higher dollar cars like the ’49 Chrysler T&C cross the auction block.”
“Its a great sale,” said Bob Boberg, of eClassicAutos.com. “We came here last year and were very impressed with the quality of the cars. Because it is a smaller sale, a collector can get a good car at an affordable price here.” We can’t wait to see what we can pick up this weekend.
